i was threatened with arrest for taking this shot of the chandelier
in the lobby of the hotel pennsylvannia (theres a security camera
hidden within it). then i bought the security guard a pizza and i
could photograph pretty much anything.

stenciled on the sidewalk
in the weeks following 9/11 it was not unusual to see new yorkers
look up everytime a plane flew overhead. perhaps the stenciller was
trying to get people to look away from the sky again.
