lloyd at the national gallery

in september 2007 lloyd took part in the intwase festival,
bulawayo, zimbabwe.

lloyd:

read at the opening ceremony at bulawayo
city hall, and the national gallery;

led workshops in performance (adults),
short story writing (youth — writers
short-listed for the short story prize),
and short fiction (adults);

gave talks on poetry, performance and his
role as a writer in wales;

presented a painting to the national
gallery, on behalf of iwan bala;

was on hand to provide one-to-one
advice to local writers.

lloyd’s involvement in the festival was funded by wales arts international.

as a result, lloyd is project editor for an anthology of zimbabwe writing.
the anthology is a collaborative project between parthian in wales and ama
books in zimbabwe, and is due to be published in 2008/09.
